   I loved the connection between the violets and your dogs. Their little flower faces. Made me think of my (gone for 3 years) kitties. Thank you.

       Mary, all shades of purple are among my favorites. Starting with lollipops, advancing to the stone in my high school senior ring…Lot it to a summer love…Jimi continued my affection with his “Purple Haze.” Now, in my golden years, the banner is being carried by my caregivers at NYU Langone…”Where have all the flowers…and lollipops gone…?”

       And I’m familiar with the “NYU purple.” I spent 4 semesters there – and still have my t-shirt somewhere in the attic.

       I didn’t know that you were in NYU Langone.
