I loved the connection between the violets and your dogs. Their little flower faces. Made me think of my (gone for 3 years) kitties. Thank you.

Thanks Tom.
I can’t seem to find your comments. Hmmm.

Thanks!

Mary, all shades of purple are among my favorites. Starting with lollipops, advancing to the stone in my high school senior ring…Lot it to a summer love…Jimi continued my affection with his “Purple Haze.” Now, in my golden years, the banner is being carried by my caregivers at NYU Langone…”Where have all the flowers…and lollipops gone…?”

Tom, your comment is – in and of itself – a poem. Thank you for that.
And I’m familiar with the “NYU purple.” I spent 4 semesters there – and still have my t-shirt somewhere in the attic.
I didn’t know that you were in NYU Langone.
I’m so sorry to hear that and hope it is only temporary.
Please keep us in the loop if it’s not too much of a hassle.
Sending prayers for peace and healing,
Mary

Mary, your beautiful poem touched my heart, especially the part about your now solitary walks; I can relate. While my loss does not relate to a beloved dog, nature continues to be a healing balm for my soul as I pause and turn my attention to the beauty of creation before me, as I navigate the ups and downs of life. What a gift to discover your poetry; thank you.
