Grateful once again to the poets at WordHive for the 2026 Poetry-In-Transit campaign. I’m thrilled to have my poem, SHINE, riding the buses in Lancaster this year.
Below is my offering which celebrates the vibrancy of downtown Lancaster.
Hoping that poetry and art can serve as inspiration and encouragement for commuters.

Once again, the verses of Mary Queen of Scripts, have peaked my interest. They led me back to our Revolutionary War days. FYI: in addition to mentions of Kings the article also mentions a “House of Orange.” Perhaps a reader might consider connecting these for modern times…tOM

Thanks for reading, Tom! Hope all is well.
Queen Street, Duke Street, etc are the trendy streets in the middle of downtown Lancaster. Central Market, cafes, and cute shops are also the gems in the crown.
