Mary, your words and images inspired…
“transition” – my birth from formlessness to form and the trauma that would follow
Initially, I was loved and cared for and felt hopeful…my life was full of promise
Ah! But my caregiver has neglected me…forgotten me
I see abandoned children in all corners of our shared planet
Your last three lines are the laments of a person now bereft of the hope and promise of their youth…
Directed against a deity…they are as you name them: laments
“WHY…” did You…
Echoing a naked dying body hanging on a piece of wood that also laments the loss of its sap-essence
